What about the history of this town?
The history of the town goes back approximately 400 years ago. Firstly this town was called Forest Tambov and it was small village, where lived Stepan Rasskaz. Some year after it was renamed Rasskazovo in honor of Stepan Rasskaz. In the XVIII - early XX century this town was popular due to knitted goods,leather products, manufacture of soap and candles. In 1926 it received city type of settlement.
What about the city's economy?
Mainly in the city is a thriving agricultural business.
